Community Involvement

The support Christian Science churches give their communities is first and fore-most prayer based. We respond as individuals to our community and the world needs by including our neighbours in our prayers every day. And we come together occasionally as a church to pray about specific local issues. When we pray, we expect – and receive—tangible evidence of problems being healed.

As a branch church and also as part of a worldwide organization we join with others in helping to meet community needs by contributing financially to local and international charities. We also contribute as individuals.

As a branch church we are active in local institutions including the Women’s Prison in Kitchener, being part of the Chaplaincy program. We are active members in Interfaith Grand River, a group that promotes understanding between faith groups.
